Callaghans ridge recount

O n thursday the 11 of april 2019 my class along with room 1 miss Kemp and some parents went and did the callaghans ridge walk. when we got we had to wait for the parent to drop the cars of at the other end of the track. We had already gotten given a scavenger hunt to do during the walk so we started to tick things off by what was around as. During the walk it started to rain hard but we still had to keep going. The bush was beautiful and alout of the thing were on the scavenger hunt like button fern, kidney fern, blue mushrooms and bell birds. After awhile we stopped for lunch but before we could eat we had to build a bavi with just some rope and a tarpaulin. After we had eaton we had to pack up are bavi and make it look like we hadn’t even been their.

Overall I think it was a good walk just very dump and it wasn’t just because of the run I have done other walks in that area and they are all dump so you would want to do it on a dry day. But it is still worth doing the walk. Evan through it is 4 hours long it is quite an easy walk to do.

  1. I remember how super wet you were when you came home from this tramp! Have you seen these poems on the rain: http://okaritolife.blogspot.com/2012/10/two-west-coast-rain-poems.html ?
I think you meant "damp" rather than "dump"? I remember us doing one by Callaghans Ridge last summer and how damp it was. It must have been tough being a gold miner living up there in a tent 150 years ago.
